With a double degree in Business Management Marketing and Business Management Accounting, Michael was recruited by the largest department store in Australia – Myer Stores as Towel Buyer for its 60 stores. His ten years at Myer presented Michael to grow his reputation with local suppliers initially then later with offshore companies wanting to enter the Australian market.
Michael was recruited to Australian Weaving Mills initially as account Manager and later as General Manager – Sales & Marketing. In these roles, Michael dealt with all the major retailers with sales of towels and bedlinen supplying own branded homewares and House Brands
Michael negotiated licenses with Esprit, Christies and Country Road which were all multi-million dollar programs
Michael has also been engaged as an employee and consultant with Importing companies such as Simba and W. A. McNeil which required sourcing including companies Welspun (India), Trident (India), Sunvim (China) and United Towel Exporters (Pakistan).
